"Blog' is a funny word

Well, my innagural blog is officially a reality.  Once I hit 'PUBLISH'...and that is about as much as I truly know about blogging. I have said since the beginning of BLOGDOM, and "BLOG" entering the new Urban Dictionary that I, too, would join the millenium and BLOG. (Yep, I LOVE saying this word, it looks and sounds weird, but yet simultaneously I feel so technologically savvy and really quite modern and trendy to use the term, 'blog'. And throughout this particular blog, I intend to use BLOG as much as possible.  I am sure it will get out of my system, so please, don't censor me already for sheer repetition alone...)

After all, people MUST be setting their watches to check my facebook status updates (which, by the way you will all be thankful, I am meeting my new goal of thinking before updating.....while I LOVE the narcissistic view that everyone is interested that 'Misty just published her first blog'---er--for example, I am getting better at considering what I really want my facebook friends to know, and of course, ideally comment on or LIKE.)  Oops...a digression. Another bad reason to censor my BLOG.  I promise to focus.

So, all this may seem as mundane as my latest status update regarding the state of my breakfast toast, but for me, there exists a whole deeper meaning.  Per the title, I am trying new things, leaping out of my safezone, meeting supressed challenges and goals, and learning to live for the moment, allowing everything that happend/happens to become a part of my experiences, and embrace them to be the person I know I want to be, can be and really AM, when it comes down to it.  I just boarded the metaphoric plane with this one-way ticket from Someday Isle (that may have been purchased long ago, but luckily had a lifetime no-expiration policy!)  Please, follow my progress....there has been some bumpy air so far, and if you know me in NON-BLOG real life, you know I have to get Mr. T'd to fly at all (for you younger followers, its a classic TV reference to the A-team---they had to drug him to fly despite his outward appearance of strength, endurance and tenacity).  My inclincation is to wish the time away, but the funny thing is, I land, and tend to recognize that the flight was well-worth the destination, and all the experiences that ensued.

Welcome to my life (well, the parts I want you to hear) in BLOG.  I hope that maybe someone out there can relate, be inspired (dare I sound so presumptious?), or simply be entertained.
